PASTURED CHICKEN: TENDERS

Frozen tenders from pasture-raised chickens. There will be variation in both the quantity and the weights of each tender order.  (For a reference, there are generally about 6-8 tenders per pound.)  Choose your desired weight from the drop-down menu.

NOTE:  Exemption P.L. 90-492 allows us to process our birds on-farm (in accordance with strict sanitary guidelines), and that's exactly what we do.  In fact, if that exemption didn't exist, we wouldn't be raising birds for meat!  Neither of us has the stomach to put these birds through the stress of being stuffed into those tiny crates and left fully exposed to the weather while being hauled off to slaughter!  Although it's sad to be the ones who take their lives, by doing the processing ourselves we're able to ensure that they remain calm and contented right up until the end, and that their end is swift and virtually painless.
