TWO pounds of organically grown, unwashed, HEIRLOOM Slicing Cucumbers from our own garden. Each order will generally contain 2-6 cucumbers. (This mix may contain Dragon’s Egg, Natsu Fushinari, Jibai Shimoshirazu, Telegraph Improved, Yamato Extra Long, and/or Muncher Cucumbers.)
Heirloom Cucumbers have a deeper flavor than what you find in stores—-more “cucumbery” and less “watery”. They don’t produce as prolifically as the hybrid varieties, so we have to charge a bit more. But the flavor is worth it! (These also don’t have that awful wax coating stores put on to trick you into thinking it’s still fresh!)
While not officially certified organic, these cukes have been grown using organic and naturally, sustainably grown standards. Rest assured that they'll be a safe and wholesome addition to your family's diet!
